The surgeons cackle echoed through out the dark house.
“I have learned that some of my guests seek to steal from my home, but now you must play my game! You all have been hired to take from my safe, but first you should listen to what I say!”
“It is waiting for you in the house, but the rules your follow are these. Leaving will surely lead to your death, and beware of my children who no longer draw breath. Find your way to me and you will find the key.”
His voice finally went silent after one last laugh.
“I am zippin’ out!” One of the other guests yelled before pulling a long revolver from his jacket and punching three holes into the window.
A steel whirl filled the night sky in the back yard, and streaks of light bolted across the lawn at him after only a few steps out the door. No one could see exactly where the bullets came from, but they left their marks on the doorway, the walls, and anything close to the window.
Yellow shreds of plastic and microfibers slowly fell to the ground. That was all that remained of him.
Another cackle thundered through the mansion.
Dinner Party at Horror House!
Dinner Party at Horror House is a science fiction or cyberpunk one shot adventure designed to feel like a modern day dungeon crawl.
The team receives a job offer to infiltrate a suburban recluse’s mansion and steal a data bank from his safe during a masquerade party. Once dinner is served, the party takes a dark turn and cyber zombies are released throughout the house. Unbeknownst to the players, the house owner himself sends out missions to steal from him to draw people to his home so that he can kill them and harvest their body parts. Stuck in the trapped death box, the team must find a way to turn off the security systems to be able to escape with their lives.
The adventure consists of an 8 page story book, large map that includes a four floor mansion with over 25 rooms, and a numbering guide to match the booklet to the maps. Inside the story book is the adventure setup, overview, job offer, story, and wrap up sections. Included in this write up is a breakdown of each of the 32 areas that make up the house of horror.
The adventure is system agnostic, so you will need the core rulebook of your chosen game system available to look up or create the needed items, npcs, villains, skills, and other game mechanics. In order to make the setup as easy as possible, a one page list of all of the mechanics and items you will need is included at the front of the adventure. Game system rules are not included.
The story takes place in a suburban mansion that includes 3 buildings, over 25 separate rooms, multiple secret passage ways and hidden areas, and a secret bunker under the home. As the players work their way through the house they will uncover more about the mysterious and dreadful patron, Albert Pistroch.
